The glass-fronted Richardson Telecom Center is located in the Richardson Telecom Corridor on the west side of North Central Expressway and includes 13 corner offices with views. There are beautiful fountains in the pond and a walking path next to the creek. The corridor has the world's highest concentration of telecommunications and hi-tech companies. Many of the largest telecoms corporations are based in the corridor, which is strategically placed to serve Richardson, Plano, Allen, and Dallas. Richardson is consistently ranked high in 'best place to live' surveys and has a reputation as the 'best workplace for commuters'. Thanks to its economic and corporate growth, with many corporations relocating here or expanding, the city has won many economic development awards. The biggest employer remains AT&T. The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is close to the center and noted for engineering and computer science excellence.
