Offering spectacular views across the Parque de Las Americas, the Fibra Building business center is located in an imposing glass building at the heart of Lima's financial district, San Isidro. The national and international headquarters of banks and insurance companies, plus multinational corporates from other industry sectors, are based in this area - many having relocated from downtown Lima to occupy modern office blocks. The capital's most important avenues, Javier Prado and Paseo de la Republica, criss-cross San Isidro, which is also the home of dozens of embassies and consulates. Lima is the largest city of Peru: together with the seaport of Callao, it forms a metropolitan area with a population approaching nine million. Besides being the national financial hub, it accounts for more than two thirds of the country's industrial production and most of its services sector. Lima has a significant export and cargo industry with Callao airport and seaport important across South America.
